These terms govern your use of FridgIt, a kitchen inventory and recipe app operated by FridgIt: Waste Less, Taste More ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use FridgIt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

1. Who you are contracting with

FridgIt is provided by FridgIt: Waste Less, Taste More. Your agreement for use of the app is with FridgIt: Waste Less, Taste More. You must be of legal age to enter a contract, or have the authority to bind the organisation you represent.

2. The service

FridgIt lets you track the food in your fridge and pantry, scan photos and receipts to add items, generate recipes with AI, plan meals, build grocery lists and track your food-waste impact. Some features require a paid subscription.

3. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@fridgit.online if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse FridgIt. In particular, you must not:

• use the app for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive (including spam);
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, scraping, or circumventing limits;
• reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service;
• upload content you do not have the rights to upload.

5. AI-generated content and food safety

• Recipes, ingredient detection, expiry estimates and nutrition figures are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always use your own judgement.
• FridgIt does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Allergen, dietary and child-safety filters are best-effort assistance, not a guarantee — always check labels yourself before eating or serving food.
• You are responsible for your prompts and inputs, for verifying outputs, and for having the rights to any photos or content you upload.
• We may filter, refuse, or remove content and outputs, and may suspend accounts for repeated or serious misuse. Rights-holders can contact support@fridgit.online to request a takedown.

6. Intellectual property

FridgIt: Waste Less, Taste More owns FridgIt and everything in it — software, design, branding and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app in line with your plan. You keep ownership of the content you upload and grant us a limited licence to host and process it only to operate the service.

7. Service availability

We work to keep FridgIt available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change, and third-party services (including AI providers) can affect availability.

8. Subscriptions, payment and billing

FridgIt offers subscriptions, including a free trial followed by recurring monthly billing. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy for refunds.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using FridgIt at any time. On termination your access ends; you may request an export or deletion of your data by emailing support@fridgit.online.

10. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FridgIt is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify FridgIt: Waste Less, Taste More against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

12. General

• We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
• You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition.
• Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction, and disputes are subject to its courts.
